The proposed budget for 2016 is still undergoing scrutiny by the legislative arm of the Nigerian government even after being signed by the President.
However, a monitoring and evaluation system has been put in place for surety in delivery of the promises made by the budget.
In a meeting presided by the President himself, the Minister of Budget and National planning, Senator Udo Udoma gave an idea of the evaluation system set while briefing reporters present.
He also mentioned measures ongoing to ensure the 2017 budget begins on time, with a projection of the proposed bill sent in to the National Assembly before the end of 2016.
