The Nigerian Literary Arts and Book Festival, Ake Festival, has made a call for entries into its annual journal with the theme “Beneath the skin”.

According to a statement posted on the Festival’s official website, entries sent on the theme should center on issues around identity, race and individuality.

The journal would feature works of poetry, prose and art that are in line with the requirements of the festival and successful creatives will receive two copies of Ake Review.

Ake Festival is a six-day event that “celebrates books and other interconnected facets of arts.”

It is organised by Book Buzz Foundation, a non-governmental organisation founded by Award winning writer, Lola Shoneyin.

This year’s festival will run from November 15 to November 19.
