It is no secret that Real Madrid will be looking for a new goalkeeper in the summer with Manchester United’s David De Gea and Thibaut Courtois of Chelsea thought to be their top two targets.
And Courtois’ agent, Christophe Henrotay, has responded to the speculation linking him back to the Spanish capital, where his wife and children live.
“Courtois? I am always in contact with Real Madrid,” Henrotay told Voetbal magazine.
“Thibaut’s situation is under review at the moment so let’s see what will happen in the future.
“It’s clear that many clubs have interest in him including Real Madrid. Courtois is a goalkeeper who makes you win multiple games and trophies.”
However, he did also warn Madrid that they may have to dig deep into their pockets to secure Courtois’ services.
“These type of players won’t come cheap,” he added.
Real have not had a stable goalkeeper ever since Iker Casillas left the club in 2015.
But they are expected to put that problem to bed in the summer by signing a world-class shot-stopper.
Chelsea are currently going through a mid-season crisis where they face the prospect of losing manager Antonio Conte and dropping out of the Champions League places.
And if the worst was to happen then the option for the Belgian keeper jump ship is a huge possibility, according to his agent.
