Barely three weeks after the release of Apple Operating System iOS 10, Apple has released a patch update, iOS 10.0.2.
According to the release notes, the new update will fix an issue that caused the lightning headphone controls, one of the key features of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, to be disabled after a period of inactivity.
There have been complaints on Apple forums since last week about the bug which many blamed on a software change due to the iPhone 7’s lack of headphone jack and Apple promised to fix the problem.
The iOS 10.0.2 also addresses two other bugs: the first caused Photos to quit when some users switched on iCloud Photo Library, and the other fixes “an issue that prevented enabling some app extensions.”
The iOS 10.0.2 is less than 100MB in size and it’s already available for download.
