Four persons were killed or wounded in a shoot-out at a popular retail market in central Tel Aviv, near Israel’s defence ministry on Wednesday.
Police have confirmed the attack and declared that two gunmen were involved.
The two gunmen were Palestinians from the same family in the Hebron area of the occupied West Bank, the police said.
Officials added that both gunmen were shot, apprehended and disarmed by security forces.
Israel has struggled to cope with eight months of Palestinian attacks that have claimed the lives of 28 Israelis and two Americans.
About 200 Palestinians, identified as assailants by the Israeli authority, were killed in the same period.
