The Nigerian Army has reportedly rescued over 11,000 civilians held at various enclaves by the Boko Haram sect.
The Army revealed that the rescue operations have been carried out within a space of six weeks. This was fueled as troops have taken firm decisions to intensify the war against insurgent going on in the north eastern part of the country.
The military added that the rescue operations were carried out by different outposts across the region and that a significant number of them were received from Cameroonian authorities.
