An Australian fashion label based in Melbourne, MOGA, has created a headscarf that is made entirely from raw meat.
According to the label, this is in a bid to move against the objectification of women in the industry.
The label is following in the footsteps of pop icon, Lady Gaga, who made international headlines after she wore a raw meat dress to the 2010 MTV Music Awards.
The MOGA ‘More Than Meat’ campaign aims to show that women are not just ‘flesh and bones’, but real people.
The label said in their campaign images they regularly chose to use ‘real people’ instead of models.
But they were often left shocked by the ‘derogatory and misogynistic comments’ people hurled at the women in their advertising.
