Since he continued his managerial career away from Barcelona, Pep Guardiola has signed two players from the Spanish giant. And now he’s looking to raid again with his eyes set on Sergio Busquests.
No doubt, Guardiola was instrumental in Busquets’ breakthrough into the first team at Barca and it has been claimed that he now wants him at the Etihad.
Spanish outlet, Onda Cero, has suggested Guardiola is in the market for a new holding midfielder following Fernando’s recent departure for Galatasaray.
And it has been suggested that he may turn his attentions to an audacious swoop for Busquets, who has established himself as one of the best of his kind in world football.
However, the 29-year-old will not come cheap given that he remains under contract at Barca for the next two years.
In addition, the Catalan giants hold the option of a two-year extension for the Spanish World Cup winner.
