Allegations are being made by sources close to the Presidency that President Muhammadu Buhari’s style of government is only working to alienate himself from his Ministers and Aides.
Rumour has it that only three Ministers have access to the President: Babatunde Fashola, Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Lt. General Abdulrahman Dambazzau, Minister of Interior and Rotimi Amaechi, Minister of Transport.
It has been said that Buhari’s reticent style of leadership has cast a shadow over his administration and many Ministers drone on in fear of the President.
This should come as no surprise to those who remember the President’s interview during his three-days official visit to France, where he stated that civil servants do the real job of governance in Federal Government Ministries and described the executive Ministers as noise makers.
It has also been said that the President has alienated his second-in-command, Professor Yemi Osinbajo when in August 2015, he ordered the closure of the Aso Rock Villa Chapel where the Vice President worships.
