The Nigerian Government has promised to cater for the rescued Chibok girl, Amina Ali Nkeki. She was rescued on Wednesday with a child and other women in Sambisa following military operations in conjunction with the Civilian JTF members.

President Muhammadu Buhari has stated that the Nigerian government will be responsible for the education and upkeep of Amina Ali for her entire life. He made this announcement on Thursday after meeting with Amina, her mother and the Borno State Governor, Shettima Kassim at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

Amina, being the first of the 219 Chibok girls rescued, has been assured that the government would do everything possible to give her the best medical, psychological and emotional care. Through this, they believe she will be reintegrated into the society.
