When Chelsea defeated Manchester United 4 – 0 at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, former Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho had the spotlight on him, and quite rightly too.

That was Mourinho’s first return to Chelsea since he was sacked last season after a string of disappointing performances. His return was equally disappointing, in all ramification, performance and result.

The embarrassing defeated did little dent to Mourinho’s record; at least not as much as it did Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba’s.

The defeat is Mourinho’s biggest defeat since 2010 while it is Ibrahimovic’s biggest since 2000. For Pogba however, it is the biggest in his career.

With an uninspiring performance like that, Man United players and the manager have no one but themselves to blame.
