While the world is celebrating the rescue of one of the kidnapped Chibok girls, news has broken that a second Chibok girl has been rescued.
It will be recalled that over 2 years ago, more than 200 school girls were seized in Chibok, a northern Nigerian town in Borno state.
The first girl, Amina Ali Nkeki was rescued two days ago. Now, the army has said a second school girl, Serah Luka has been found from among the 97 women and children who were held captive by the Boko Haram terrorists and rescued by troops in operations in Borno state.
In a statement, Col. Usman said “we are glad to state that among those rescued is a girl believed to be one of the Chibok Government Girls Secondary School girls that were abducted on 14 April 2014 by the Boko Haram Terrorist. During the operation, 35 Boko Haram terrorists were killed by the troops and several arms and ammunition were recovered”.
Serah who is number 157 on the list of abducted school girls is believed to be the daughter of one Pastor Luka.
