In Thursday’s preview screenings before the official premiere of Disney’s ‘Finding Dory’ on Friday, the animated movie raked in $9.2 million, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

That’s the biggest opening night an animated film has ever seen, T.H.R. reports, noting that Minions, the previous record-holder, only brought in $6.2 million.

‘Finding Dory’ is projected to rake in a whopping $120 million on its opening weekend, according to The Los Angeles Times.

If this happens, this means it would dethrone the current opening weekend record-holder: Toy Story 3, which brought in $110 million.
