Fifteen months after Hollywood actor, Johnny Depp got married to his actress wife, Amber Heard, a United States judge has ordered the actor to stay away from his wife.
The judge also held that Mr. Depp should not try to contact Ms. Heard.
This is following allegation from the wife that the actor famous and loved for his Captain Jack Sparrow role in the movie, Pirates of the Caribbean assaults her.
Ms. Heard alleged in court on Friday that Mr. Depp threw her mobile phone at her during a fight last Saturday.
On Monday, she filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. As evidence, she presented a photograph of herself with a bruised cheek and eye to the Los Angeles Superior Court.
Ms. Heard told the court that the actor was high on drugs and drunk when the incident occurred. She explained that he had pulled her hair, screamed at her, grabbed her face and hit her.
In a sworn declaration, she wrote, “I live in fear that Johnny will return to (our house) unannounced to terrorize me, physically and emotionally”.
Ms. Heard also alleged a history of abuse through their short marriage.
Her lawyer, Joseph Koeing told reporters: “The judge has reviewed the evidence that we presented. He issued a restraining order based on the evidence that he received and there will be a further hearing.”
Mr. Depp’s lawyer wrote in a court filing that the actor would agree to a mutual-stay order. He is currently in Portugal with his band, Hollywood Vampires.
The couple who met in 2011 while costarring in the Rum Diary film have no children together.
