Former Nigeria U20 and Nigeria Premier League side, Wikki Tourists striker, Aminu Umar, who now plays for Turkish side, Osmanlispor FK scored a hat-trick in his team’s second leg Europa league playoffs fixture against FC Zimbru on Thursday evening.
Completesportsnigeria.com reports that the match which was played at the Osmanlı stadium ended 5 – 0 on the night and 7 – 2 on aggregate following a 2 – 2 draw in the first leg.
The win ensured Umar’s team progressed to the third round where they’ll face Estonian side, Nomme Kalju next week. The first leg will be played in Turkey.
Umar scored in the 16th, 26th and 50th minutes to help his team to the 5 – 0 victory. Erdal Kilicarslan and Dzon Delarge completed the rout in the 74th and 83rd minute.
Samson Siasia, coach of Nigeria’s U23 team has named Umar as part of the squad to represent Nigeria at next month’s Rio Olympics.
