Don’t be misled by the title. J.crew, the clothing brand headed by style star Jenna Lyons, is embarking on yet another collaboration. This time, it is with Drake’s – the haberdashery brand, not the artist.

This came about after Lyons spotted a colleague of hers, Somsack Sikhounmuong (head of women’s design for J.crew) wearing a silk scarf from the menswear brand, and questioned why such wasn’t made for women.

Shortly thereafter, the pair tapped Michael Hill of Drake’s to collaborate on a curated collection of women’s pajama tops, bottoms, scarves, and ballet flats.

“There’s an old-school classic ease to the collection”, says Sikhounmuong of the charming patterns rendered in the pieces. “The magical nature of the patterns come to life”, adds Lyons. “If you weren’t looking, the animals might jump off your shirt”.

The collection launches today, August 16.
