A Bukuru Chief Magistrate’s Court in Plateau state has granted bail to Evangelist Danjuma Fwenji, who was alleged to have criminally enticed Joy, the wife of Mr. Leonard Dilkon, a former House of Representatives member.

The accused, who is the Overseer of God’s Grace Divine Mission, Jos, was granted bail in the sum of N1.5 million at the hearing of the case on Wednesday.

Dilkon, who represented Pankshin/Kanam/ Kanke constituency in the House of Representatives between 2003 and 2007, had dragged Fwenji to the court for allegedly enticing his wife and destroying his 20-year-old marriage.

He also accused his divorce-seeking wife of sleeping with the pastor and blamed him for the crisis in his marriage.

Dilkon made the accusation while defending himself in a divorce suit filed by his wife, Joy, at a High Court in Jos.

Joy had asked for a dissolution of the 20-year-old marriage in a case she filed on Sept. 14, 2014, and also requested the court to grant her custody of their three children.

The defendant in his submission accused the wife of neglecting the marriage and further accused her of having extra marital affairs with Pastor Fwenji.

He accused his wife and the said Pastor of committing sexual immorality at her parents’ home and the Church.

“Each time I try to resolve our differences with my wife, the Pastor will appear and confuse everything,” Dilkon alleged. Fwenji, however, denied the allegation.
