Fresh report have risen suggesting that Google is planning to launch a lineup of phones to compete favourably with the iPhone.
According to the report, this new lineup will be separate from the Google Nexus phones.
The report said Google is ready to develop a more “canonical” high-end smartphone to go head to head with other high end android devices and iPhones, thus targeting the high-end market (primarily Apple customers).
The technology giant is in discussions with mobile operators about releasing a Google-branded phone that will extend the company’s move into hardware, sources familiar with the discussions told a British paper.
The new device, which will be released by the end of the year according to a senior source, will see Google take more control over design, manufacturing and software.
