– Be open to meeting new people: Certain personalities might find it easier than some to meet people in social events and gatherings but regardless of whether you are introverted or extroverted, it is important to be able to talk with people because you never know where that conversation would lead. We build our professional network by meeting individuals from our profession and even outside.

– Attend events relating to your profession: Conferences/Summits/Seminars/Workshops are just some of the different kinds of professional gatherings where we meet other members and fellow professionals. Attending such events help to meet people in your professional line and the more people you meet, the larger your network become.

– Always have your business card at hand: A business card is a mini-CV or resume. It says what you do and how you can be reached. Always have your business card with you wherever you are, whether a professional gathering or a social gathering, because you never know how far that card would travel and help increase your network.
