Making the disclosure in a press briefing on Wednesday, the state’s Commissioner for Planning and Economic Adviser to Governor Rochas Okorocha, Mr. Ike Njoku, said the effort is to increase the Internally Generated Revenue of the state.
Njoku also disclosed that the state government had secured a soft loan from the Federal Government to be disbursed to small and medium scale and agro-allied businesses mostly operated by the youths, women and the physically challenged in the communities.
He said the loans which must be repaid within a period of a year would be given to those who are beneficiaries after due diligence have been conducted by their businesses.
