Even just as an infant, Jay Z and Beyonce’s son, Sir, has earned himself the title of a Sir. At least that’s what his dad said while he explained the idea behind the names of his twin children.

The 47-year-old explained that the couple chose such unique names, with Rumi being less of a surprise as the couple had previously said Rumi, or Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi, is their favourite poet.

But with Sir, Jay-Z had effectively given him a title, but why? Because ‘he carries himself like that.’ Yup, the rapper decided his newborn had the presence of a knight and decided to make it official on his birth certificate.

He told Rap Radar podcast: “Rumi is our favourite poet, so it was for our daughter. And then Sir was, like, man, come out the gate. He carries himself like that. He just came out, like, Sir.’

Beyonce is such a queen, she even births knights. Interesting right!!!

Jay also added that he purposely booked his tour for later this year so that he could have some time with his newly expanded family.

He said: “I booked the tour for October so I could have at least four months … to just really bond and see their fingers and s*** like that.

“They’ll be with me [on tour] anyway, but I’m just saying, like, [I needed] a space where I’m not doing nothing, I’m just focused on them. I’m not thinking about a show at night or anything like that. That’s why the tour is so far away from the release of the album.”

The 47-year-old said: ‘We’ve always had a great relationship. I fought my brothers and argued with my brothers my whole life. It just so happens, who we are, these things go into a different space, but it ain’t nothing.

“We’ve had one disagreement ever. Before and after, we’ve been cool.

“She’s like my sister. I will protect her. That’s my sister. Not my sister-in-law. My sister.”
