West Bromwich Albion midfielder, Grzegorz Krychowiak, formerly with Paris Saint Germain has expressed disappointment in his former manager, Unai Emery.
The Polish midfielder while speaking to Przeglad Sportowy about his time in France as well as his ex-coach Unai Emery didn’t hold much back about how he feels about his ex-boss.
Talking about his eventual transfer which materialized in the summer, he said “I already wanted to leave them during last January transfer window but the PSG management convinced me to stay.”
He went on to talk about Emery who was together with him in Sevilla, stating that “He [Emery] had told me from the get go to play in a similar way to Barcelona’s Sergio Busquets.
“I knew from the start that this was going to be impossible since we do not play the same style of football. This is why I lost a starting job within the PSG squad.
“I was disappointed in him [Emery] since he was the one who told me to follow him to PSG.”
Obviously trying to leave the past in the past, Krychowiak said “anyways this is now in the past I guess. I am now fully focused on my new squad as we should have exciting times ahead…”
PSG had a huge summer as they signed both Neymar and Mbappé. They have started this new season off on the right foot as many people now view them as serious UCL contenders.
