The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted that Lagos, Port-Harcourt, Calabar, Eket, Enugu, Oshogbo, Ibadan and Akure will experience thunderstorms with maximum temperatures of 27 degrees to 31 degrees Celsius on Friday.
It predicted that states in the southern part of the country would experience rain showers over the coast and inland cities in the morning hours and localised thunderstorms later in the day.
NiMet predicted that states in the northern part of the country would experience cloudiness with chances of localised thunderstorms over Sokoto in the morning with maximum day time temperatures of 28 degrees to 33 degrees Celsius.
It said there would be localised thunderstorms over the central states of Abuja, Lafia, Nasarawa and environs.
NiMet also predicted chances of isolated thunderstorms over the high grounds of Abuja, Minna, Bida, Lokoja and Kaduna in the afternoon and evening hours with maximum temperatures of 23 degrees to 35 degrees Celsius.
