Nigeria Super Eagles forward, Kelechi Iheanacho, has just gotten another reason to heed the advice of his national team coach, Gernot Rohr, to leave the King Power Stadium, with the signing of Malian forward, Fousseni Diabate on a four-and-a-half-year deal.
Since Iheanacho joined the Foxes from Manchester City in the summer, he has struggled for playing time even though he has given respectable performances on the few occasions he’s played.
Though Claude Puel recently insisted he would love to keep the Nigerian at the club, the signing of the 22-year-old Malian forward from French second-tier side, Gazelec Ajaccio, may just send a different message.
Diabate, who can play as a central striker or on the wing, moved to the Corsican club after two seasons with Guingamp.
The Premier League club announced the signing of the player on Saturday morning.
