Liberia will be declared free of the Ebola virus later today for the fourth time by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
The country has now passed the required 42 days since tests showed the last infected person no longer had the virus.
Chief of communication at the Ministry of Health, Sorbor George, said:
“Liberia is again free of Ebola. We have just ended the incubation period following the last case”
Over 11,000 people in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea have died of the disease since 2013.
