By 8 p.m. Nigerian time, Friday, Manchester United will play against Southampton at Old Trafford for their second match of the 2016/2017 season.

Now led by former Chelsea Manager, Jose Mourinho, Man. Utd. made a remarkable start at the season with an emphatic 3 – 1 win away at Bournemouth.

The Red Devils will be looking to replicate this form against So’ton when they clash this night but Man Utd’s statistics against So’ton over the past four seasons indicate that this might prove very difficult.

Quite surprisingly So’ton have the best record against Man Utd at Old Trafford since 2012.

So’ton has won on their last two visits to Old Trafford and they will be looking to make it a treble, a feat they’ve never managed in their entire league history.
