Nine year old Anvitha Vijay from Australia, being dubbed the youngest coder in the world, has been given the chance of a lifetime thanks to a scholarship from Apple.
The 9 year old who is said to be able to code better than most adults also got a shout-out from Apple CEO, Tim Cook in his opening keynote address at Worldwide Developer’s Conference holding in San Francisco.
Though Vijay’s coding ability is already being hailed worldwide, in an interview with USA Today, she said she’s got a long way to go when it comes to coding.
Her first app is called Smartkins Animals. The app teaches young children about animals.
The app had already been downloaded a few hundred times ahead of her interview.
