The Barcelona superstar, Lionel Messi, has advised his international teammate at Juventus, Paulo Dybala, against joining his team’s La Liga rival, Real Madrid.
According to Spanish news outlet, Don Balon, Messi is trying persuade the Argentine not to move to the Bernabeu.
Dybala has been heavily linked with Manchester United, and Messi thinks a move to England would better suit the ex-Palermo forward.
Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri has warned that Dybala cannot play as a striker for a top club though.
“He cannot play centre-forward for a big club, where the distance to goal is much shorter,” Allegri said last week.
“Just look at his best goals for Juve: they’re often when he’s running from deeper positions.”
Jose Mourinho is reportedly keen to bring in Dybala to ease the pressure on misfiring Romelu Lukaku and veteran forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The 24-year-old is said to have replaced Antoine Griezmann at the top of the Portuguese’s wish list.
Paul Pogba wants the Atletico Madrid sensation to move to Old Trafford.
