Manchester United legend, Paul Scholes, declared early on Monday that Liverpool were favourites to win when his beloved United come up against Liverpool at Anfield, but the match ended in a goalless draw.
Speaking to BBC Sports, Scholes said: “If you were betting, you would be betting on Liverpool”.
The two fierce rivals placed three places apart on the Premier League log – United is placed seventh and will be looking to get one over the other team.
Manchester United have been inconsistent so far this season, seeing their impressive run of four wins in four matches drop to performances that have kept them hooked at seventh.
Liverpool on the other hand has been impressive. After securing vital away wins at Arsenal and Chelsea, Liverpool is placed three points behind league leaders, Manchester City. They both shared points at the final whistle.
