In 2013, Adeyemi partnered with numerous NGOs, Yaba Local Council Development Area (LCDA) and Makoko waterfront community to execute designs for a floating school on the waterways, bringing free education to hundreds of young children who previously had only one primary school that was threatened by incessant flooding.

Adeyemi’s effort hasn’t gone without recognition as his floating school design was shortlisted for the London Design Museum’s 2014 Design of the Year award and also received a nomination for the International Award for Public Art in 2015.
