The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted cloudy weather conditions over the Central States on Wednesday with likelihood of localised rains over Jos, Abuja, Minna and Lafia in the morning.
The predictions are contained in the Weather Outlook issued by NiMet’s Central Forecast Office on Tuesday in Abuja.
It added that there would be prospects of localised thunderstorms/rain showers over the southern region during the afternoon and evening hours with day time temperatures of 30 to 32 degrees Celsius.
The Agency predicted that the southern states would experience morning rains over Eket, Calabar, Yenagoa, Obudu, Ogoja and Uyo and localised thunderstorms/rains over the entire region in the afternoon and evening hours.
It also predicted that the region would have day time temperatures of 29 to 31 degrees Celsius.
NiMet also predicted cloudy conditions over the northern states with chances of localised thunderstorms over Sokoto axis during the morning hours of the forecast period.
It added that there would be prospects of localised thunderstorms over the region during the afternoon and evening hours and day time temperatures of 32 to 35 degrees Celsius.
According to the prediction, the entire part of the country is vulnerable to thunderstorms in the next 24 hours.
