A new leak from GizmoChina has hinted that popular phone maker, Nokia will be releasing two new smartphones this year.
According to the leak, the two smartphones are expected to be flagship devices with Nokia’s trademark design language.
The leak suggests that the 5.2-inch and 5.5-inch phones will sport 2K resolution (QHD) displays and will come with IP68 certification.
These specifications effectively mean the phones will be highly resistant to water and dust on the similar lines to phones like the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and Galaxy S7.
The leak further hinted at a comeback of polycarbonate shells with bolder design and expressive patterns.
The phones are also rumoured to be powered by Snapdragon 820 chipset and will come with Z-Launcher System UI based on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat.
According to a report by Nokia Power User, both phones will sport an OLED screen and may also have an all-metal body.
Like phones recently being released by big brands like Samsung and Nexus, the phones may also come with fingerprint scanners.
A particularly interesting feature of the phone according to the leak is that “the sensors on these two smartphones may be most sensitive ever and will be based upon Nokia’s extensive research on wonder material graphene.”
Now to the part that would interest most young Nigerians, the phones will come with 22.6 megapixel primary camera. This is way bigger than the 13 megapixel camera the average phones around now have.
The only hint in the leak about the exact date for the phones’ launch is that it may likely drop after the launch of Nexus since the final launch of Android N is not until October.
When it is finally released the phones will most likely sell for 3,000 Yuan (134,100 Naira).
You can go right ahead now and start saving. It sure would be a really good buy. Those who used Nokia 3310 will agree.
