Rangers International FC of Enugu has overtaken FC Ifeanyi Uba at the top of the Nigerian Professional Football League table after recording a 1-0 victory over former Leader, FC Ifeanyi Uba of Nnewi.
Chisom Egbuchulam’s 4th Minute goal was enough for the Flying Antelope to bag all three points. Rangers now have 21 points from 11 matches, to move two points ahead of the second placed team.
In matches expected to be played today, struggling Ikorodu United hosts Sunshine Stars of Akure. Abia Warriors is expected to move to the second position if they emerge victorious against visiting Lobi Stars. Kano Pillars hosts Nassarawa United in Kano; Nassarawa United ended Kano Pillars’ 13 years unbeaten home record in the reverse fixture last season. New comers, MFM FC travels to Warri to face Warri Wolves who are currently a point above relegation.
All the matches are expected to be played at 4pm local time.
