According to Forbes, newly released mobile game, Pokémon GO is officially the biggest mobile game in the United States, with 21 million active daily users and is now on track to surpass Snapchat’s active daily users on Android within a few days.
It is being speculated that if that happens, the augmented-reality game will also pass Google Maps active daily users on Android.
The number of users are also expected to surpass the number of Twitter users if the game continues its current growth speed.
Pokémon Go is a free-to-play location-based augmented reality mobile game developed by Niantic and published by The Pokémon Company as part of the Pokémon franchise.
The game allows players to capture, battle, and train virtual Pokémon who appear throughout the real world.
It makes use of GPS and the camera of compatible devices. Although the game is free-to-play, it supports in-app purchases of additional gameplay items.
As of Monday, experts reported that Pokémon Go has been downloaded more than 7.5 million times around the world.
