Two civil servants in Oyo State, Oluwaseun Adegoke and Ojo Olarewaju, were Wednesday arraigned before a magistrate court in Ibadan, the state capital for allegedly collecting multiple salaries under fake names to the tune of N60,990,700.

According to the prosecuting counsel, Oyo State Solicitor General, Mr. Adetunji Gbadegesin, the two workers had been fraudulently receiving millions of Naira in salaries since April 2015.

In direct contravention of Section 390 of the Criminal Code, Adegoke perpetuated these acts of fraud under the names of dead or fictitious workers.

Both defendants pleaded not guilty and their bail was set at N10 million. The case was adjourned for hearing till July 25.
