In truth, iOS is more fluid but that doesn’t mean it is faster. Here’s why!!! iOS prioritizes drawing the UI over anything else that you do.
This means that when you are scrolling around the screen, the phone doesn’t do anything else.
If you want to see it in action, load up the browser and before a website is finished loading start dragging around, not lifting your finger.
As soon as you start dragging, the phone stops loading the website and immediately focuses its processing power on having a smooth scroll.
Once you lift your finger, the website starts loading again.
Android on the other hand doesn’t give this priority. You can scroll on a website while it’s loading and it will continue to load while you are scrolling.
Since it takes processing power to draw the website, there isn’t as much power left to make the movement fluid.
