Bayern Munich is looking to get more than money from Real Madrid as the La Liga giant gets set to raid the German side for its defender, David Alaba.
According to Spanish newspaper AS, Madrid is ready to spend up to €65million (£53m) on the Austrian defender of Nigerian decent.
Alaba was part of the Austria squad eliminated from Euro 2016 in the group stage after failing to win a game despite being tipped as dark horses.
As it stands, Madrid might have to part with its 23 years old defender, Raphael Varane, if they will succeed with the bid to land Alaba at the Bernabeu.
With former Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti who is taking over at Bayern next season having expressed the desire to reshape his Bayern team, especially the defense, one would expect he might look to use Alaba as a bargaining chip to land Varane whom the German side has expressed interest in.
Zinedine Zidane is also looking to add Leicester’s N’Golo Kante to its defensive midfield that seem short on numbers.
