The Russian government on Wednesday denied reports that it has compromising information about U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, dismissing the claims as a “total hoax.”
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov rejected these allegations, stating that “the Kremlin does not have compromising information about Trump.”
Referring to the report, Peskov said “it’s a total hoax, absolute fabrication and utter nonsense. The Kremlin does not collect compromising information.”
Trump had earlier responded to the report in a tweet sent out on Tuesday.
He tweeted: “FAKE NEWS – A TOTAL POLITICAL WITCH HUNT”
