On a Saturday morning, some church going individuals returning from a vigil witnessed suspicious events that raised an alarm in each of them. They witnessed the dragging of people inside a building and they made it their duty to alert some people in the vicinity who in turn alerted the police to this suspicious activity.

As it were, the building was an old filling station at Iyana Ilogbo along Lagos-Abeokuta expressway in Lagos. According to residents of the area, the ritualists had been operating in the area for a long while.

When the police stormed the one storeyed building at 7am, Saturday, they found the decomposing body of a male victim in the first room on the base floor. They also found shoes and other clothing items which were suspected to belong to other victims of the ritualists.

Two suspects, Babatunde Taofeek and Hammed Hassan were arrested during the operation. The other two accomplices are believed to be on the run.

Muyiwa Adejobi, spokesperson of the Ogun State police command has said that effort was being made to arrest the owner of the filling station and that the suspects in custody were under interrogation.

For further investigation,Ogun state Commissioner of Police, Abdulmajid Ali has ordered that the case be transferred to the criminal investigation department of the command at Eleweran Abeokuta.
