Taylor Swift has smashed another record with her hotly anticipated comeback single, ‘Look What You Made Me Do’.

The 27-year-old singer clocked an astounding 28 million views with the video in its first 24 hours of release.

The record was previously held by Adele for her single, Hello, which racked up 27.7 million views in 2015.

Swift dropped the video at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night, despite not being in attendance.

The four minute visual kicks off with Swift crawling out of a grave and declaring her old self dead before wrapping up with several different versions of Swift talking to each other about how they feel the media has treated them.

The video left many fans in “shock” from her apparent swipes at her feud with Kanye West and Katy Perry.

Swift’s newest achievement comes days after she set a new global streaming record after racking up eight million plays in just one day for the single on music service Spotify.

Look What You Made Me Do is from her upcoming album, Reputation.

The Blank Space singer plunged the Internet into meltdown after she wiped her social media accounts before teasing new music with a snake GIF last week.
