An overnight Sunday downpour in parts of Abuja and its suburbs wreaked unimaginable havoc on residents and businesses.

In Suleja, Niger State, some 41 kilometers north of Nigeria’s federal capital, an auto shop had lots of its vehicles washed into the drainage which had earlier been sacked by flood.

The flood also washed away some vehicles which the police had impounded and kept at their station in the Abuja suburb.
