For those who know Lagos and how gloomy the state can become during the rains, harrowing experiences of residents after three days of non-stop downpour should be expected.
A highway that had long been pothole-ridden, Ijora Causeway, which leads to the nation’s premier and biggest seaport is further sacked by the rains leaving motorists at their wits end to navigate through.
If the highway is expected to be well-plied by motorists, the internal streets that are not to busy are also “no-go” areas for motorists. Those who dared, like at Opeloyeru Street, Off Babs Animashaun Road in Surulere, have tales of woe to tell.
Did I hear you ask whether there is a government in Lagos State?
