Boko Haram terrorists were repelled by vigilant troops on Friday, killing 7 terrorists, wounded others and recovered ammunition from their trucks.
The terrorists evidently attempted an attack on the 121 Task Force Battalion at Pulka in five gun trucks and two golf cars loaded with Improvised Explosive Devices from the Sambisa forest axis.
In similar development, troops of 3 Battalion caught a suspected Boko Haram spy near the Battalion Headquarters at Gamboru Ngala.
A statement from Col. Sani Kukasheka Usman, army spokesman, revealed that on interrogation, the suspect confessed that he was sent to spy on the troops from Wulge.
The troops also rescued 455 persons and escorted them to Gamboru Internally Displaced Persons’ (IDPs) camp. Unfortunately, they lost one of the civilians. Nevertheless, the troops’ morale remains very high.
