In what many already regard as another strange decision by the Trump administration, the United States intends to move its embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

Despite warnings from Arab, Muslim and Western allies, President Donald Trump shows no indications of backing down.

The Palestinian Prime Minister, Rami Hamdallah said Donald Trump’s expected recognition will “destroy the peace process and the two-state solution”.

Turkey’s foreign minister, Metluv Cavusoglu said the move would be a “grave mistake” and would only bring “chaos and instability”.

The Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has made no comment in relation to the saga.

The UK through its Foreign Secretary, Boris Johnson announced that it had no plans of moving its embassy from Tel Aviv.

Trump’s decision to move the U.S. embassy reverses America’s stance on the region. The U.S. never recognized Israel’s sovereignty over Jerusalem and insisted on a Palestinian-Israeli resolution to the conflict.
