Uncharted is an action-adventure third-person shooter platform video game series developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for PlayStation consoles.

Hollywood actor Mark Wahlberg has long been rumoured as a prospect to play the movie’s wise-cracking adventurer.

Uncharted voice actor, Nolan North recently aired his opinion about who may play the role of the series’ protagonist in next year’s film.

North admitted that this casting wouldn’t be his first choice. He said: “The last I heard Mark Wahlberg was still in the running, but I really don’t see it”.

“I thought Chris Pratt would do it justice, but guess what he did it already in Guardians of the Galaxy – that was a Nathan Drake character.

“He’s vulnerable, he’s kinda funny, he’s kinda that hero with a smirk, cocky and confident. That scene when he says ‘I’m Starlord’ – that’s such a Drake moment.”

North conceded that he would’ve enjoyed playing the character for which he has done all the voice work and motion capture, but he believes he is too old at this point.

Excitement for the film has fluctuated since its announcement back in 2009, though it’s scheduled to drop in 2017.
