The embattled University of Lagos Students Union, ULSU that has been disbanded over a fight with the school authority over poor living conditions held a press conference today.

The press conference was held earlier today to communicate to parents and the nation at large on the ongoing rancor with the school authority.

The school which shut down after students protested poor living conditions on campus has remained closed for over a month. The students were informed of a proposed opening of the school on the second of April if they are to sign undertakings and re-absorption forms. This news came with reports that the University of Lagos Students Union has been suspended.

On hearing this report, ULSU have cried foul at the move which they deemed is aimed at silencing the student’s voice and force them to sign undertakings at gun point.

Recent moves by the students have been taken to secure a court injunction against the school authority. A showdown looks around the corner as there seem to be an impending legal battle.
