The Centre for African Cultural Excellence is looking for an intern to serve as a Media liaison, communications and editorial assistant starting June 6, 2016, and serving until September 2, 2016. The intern’s work will be facilitated with a modest monthly stipend, and they will be expected to work full time for a minimum of 20 hours per week, on site in Kampala, Uganda and will report directly to the Director (Editorial and Partnerships).

Applicants should be motivated by passion for African Literature, arts and culture, and willing to invest in the big dreams of a young organization, started and led by African youth.

The Centre for African Cultural Excellence is also looking for individuals that are enthusiastic about contemporary African Literature and the Arts generally to help in the running of the 4th Writivism Festival.

Each Festival volunteer will be needed for a minimum of five days between August 22 and 28, 2016 for an average of ten hours a day, including lunch, dinner and refreshments breaks. Some specific tasks will be assigned and carried out before the festival, and there will be compulsory training for all the successful volunteers.

The CACE will cover all expenses related to the tasks allocated to the volunteers.
