Nigeria’s female U-17 team, The Flamingoes will face either Ethiopia or Kenya in the first-round African zone qualifiers for the 2018 FIFA U-17 Women World Cup in Uruguay.

The fixtures for the qualifying rounds were released on the official website of the Confederations of African Football, CAF, on Monday.

Ethiopia will battle Kenya in the preliminaries rounds and the winners meet The Flamingoes.

In other preliminary fixtures, Mali will face Algeria, Sierra Leone face Gambia, Zambia meet Botswana and Libya tackle Djibouti in the last fixture.

The first leg of the preliminaries will be held on the 13th, 14th or 15th October, 2017, while the reverse fixtures hold on 27th, 28th or 29th October, 2017.

The first round qualifiers were the Flamingoes will participate in will come up on 2nd or 3rd December, 2017 in the first leg while the second leg fixtures are scheduled for the 15th, 16th or 17th December, 2017.

The final round of qualifiers will be held on weekend of 2nd – 4th February and 9th – 11th February 2018.

The Flamingoes have participated in all the five editions of the FIFA U-17 Women World Cup since the inaugural edition in 2008 in New Zealand.

The Flamingoes were Quarter Finalists in 2010, 2012 and 2014 but crashed out in the Group stage in Jordan 2016.
